Just blogging an update on iMMUNE 2, we decided to quit or atleast put the xbox version on hold, right now we are working hard enough trying to finish the iphone version, and trying to learn a new programming language takes a lot of time that we don't have. Maybe when we've finished the iphone version we'll bring out an exclusive version of iMMUNE for the xbox whole new story ect we'll see.
Now the iphone version!
It's looking great! So far we have 3 "worlds" or acts 1st act is training, 2nd act is going to rescue Omega which was the pill from the first game, 3rd act is going to destroy other threats in the body. The 4th act will be waves of viruses coming to attack the body, this is when the Salmonella virus starts wreaking havoc on the body, 5th act - 8th act will be trying to find the Salmonella virus, then at the very end of act 8 you will fight him as the concluding boss.
If you have any ideas on story lines don't be shy, comment! Tell me what you think and i'll put your ideas into the game!
So for now, signing out

So the other day I decided that I wanted to try developing for the Xbox 360, so i set up an account, paid the fee and boom i'm a dev. So I sit down to take on the daunting task of developing a full fledged Xbox game, looked at the coding and it seems quite close to the C++ that i am use to, its visual C# so i have to learn more about that. I started going at it, I created 3 levels without sweating. Then came the part of creating the menu screen and the intro video, which for the iPhone is so simple, set it up in the XIB file create the buttons then code their actions it's so simple! Then you get to the 360's coding... so many times i tried to get the intro video to work no go, so i gotta get that working tonight i'll let you all know

Yesterday I was doing some research on some codes for our game and stumbled upon a new program called GameSalad that now features iPhone publishing. I took a look into it, downloaded it and started playing around with it. It reminded me of The Games Factory by clickteam, relatively no programming easy to use UI and drag and drop level design, sounded pretty good to me, i registered an account and started to make a preview of iMMUNE 2, it included all the iphone controls too. So I wanted to test the performance of it on the iphone, so i clicked publish, it told me i needed to register for the early program use, so I clicked "learn more" something you should be careful with lol... It took me to the page and i saw, to register for the early access it costs $499.99 USD. I thought maybe I'll work on the game, and when I finish i can register then publish it to the appstore from there. This is where it all goes down hill... I continue working on the game, i click to edit my character's attributes (movement, animations, ect...) and i got apple's less than famous pin-wheel (equivelent to Windows hour glass)... so the program froze, i waited, nothing... i went to the washroom, had some lunch, took a phone call and somewhere in the middle of it all it unfroze, excellent. I continued to work on my game and things were going... alright. Aside from the frequent freezings of GameSalad it seems to be a pretty solid app, follow some of the documentation and you could be on your way to making a game. For me? Until the creators of GameSalad (Gendai Games) work out the almost frequent freezing... I'll stick with XCode, even with the headaches of debugging countless lines of code... atleast XCode is stable, more difficult, but certainly stable. Those are my thoughts for now, so in the mean time, development for iMMUNE 2: ROTS (Not Revenge of the Sith...) has been minorly frozen.

Just doing some work on our new movie Captain Torpedo. The story is 2 geeky college students Kevin Kantwell (myself) and Randall Rivers (Brandon Connell) find a formula to increase strength, turning them into super heros. Their enemies Torch and Twister also find the formula and use it to wreak havoc. It's going to take Kevin and Randall all the help they can get...
I'll be posting some screenshots of the movie as they come. The script is still being written, but we have started filming bits and pieces.

Alrighty then, well it seems that apple decided to take a deeper look into our game, so as it stands right now, iMMUNE has been pushed to a hopeful release of next Tuesday August 4 2009... Apparantly with larger games apple likes to do a full quality assurance test before it can be released on the appstore. It's final price will be $2.99 CAD.
